Pinterest Avoiding "Social Network" Label

In her article for The Washington Post, Cat Zakrzewski detailed Pinterest's focus on its "strong content moderation practices" as a differentiator from other social media market participants, notably Twitter and Facebook. This becomes especially important, says Zakrweski, as the EU and other governing bodies begin to introduce regulation that would affect publishers of harmful or controversial content on their networks. “Regulation on any big dominant player will make challengers’ lives more difficult,” said Triton's Rett Wallace.
